Six years ago, just 12% of Labour Party members were estimated to be aged under 34. Young people are the least likely age group to vote, and yet at the 2010 General Election, 18 to 24 year olds are thought to be the only age group where a majority voted Labour.

I know that the myth of Gordon Brown being unable to smile has entered into popular culture, so for what it’s worth here’s proof that it’s just that – a myth.
We met the Prime Minister in Leeds on 22nd October, and yes he was friendly, approachable and smiley.

Over the weekend of the 2nd, 3rd and 4th May 2008, I travelled with John Prescott and the Go Fourth campaign as he travelled more than a thousand miles across the north of England on the campaign trail. These were the resulting images.
